One of our colleagues shares, a few weeks ago I was talking to my landlady about her faith journey. She reads the Bible and Christian literature and prays but I am not sure if she has made a profession of faith. She told me that she was a typical Communist-atheist all of her life but when she read a Christian book on improving your marriage she came to the realization that God is real and that He desires to have a relationship with her.
We met Olga, 23 years old at the Hope Baptist Church we are attending. She constantly approached us asking to have Bible Study with us. I told her that she need to get the permission from the pastor and from John whom she was helping in ministry (on our team). A week later she told me that she talked to her pastor and John, saying that everything was alright.
What happens when the sponsoring church for a summer camp pulls out at the last minute, leaving the leaders with no place to meet and no local help? Typically, the camp would be cancelled with apologies given to the dozens of children that had planned to attend. But for workers in southern Russia, canceling wasn’t an option, so they watched God do what God does—makes a way where there isn’t any hope of one.
